not a huge fan of the red on gray, or the gray background in general. my eyes are twirling. or maybe i just need coffee.
I like the overall look (and love the Shop Tart, even though I will never ever get the change to shop at any of the places you mention, what with living halfway across the country and all) but the red on gray is very hard to make out. It makes my eyes go all warbly.
The blue black red combo against the white background looks good. If I were you, though, I'd turn on underlining of links in the posts, since anyone who had trouble seeing colors may not even know there are links in the text.
